Questions
What is a livestock calculator?
A tool that turns numbers you know into an answer you need. Type the day she was bred, and get her due date. Measure with a tape, and get a weight. Type your herd, and get the hay, water or pasture it needs.
How do I weigh a cow without a scale?
Measure the heart girth, just behind the front legs, and the body length, from the point of the shoulder to the pin bone. Then girth × girth × length ÷ 300 gives pounds. Livestock weight calculator

Why you can trust the numbers
- Every number has a source. Each page names it, with a date. We show the math too.
- Ranges, not just one day. Animals do not read calendars. We show the normal spread from research.
